The girls are now at an age where we can sit and play some games, I love the idea of having family games nights (although it’s so cheesy) it’s time to turn the TV off and just have a giggle together. It’s sometimes tricky to know what will work for which ages though, recently we were sent out a couple of games from MegaBleu to test out, a little games night was on the cards!
Trickin Camel Game was the first up, as soon at the girls saw it they were keen to get started after seeing an advert for it already. Trickin camel game is for ages 5+ and up to 4 players; each player takes it in turns to complete the challenge and if you loose the camel will do it’s trick which is spitting water. As you can imagine the girls found this hilarious, the challenges from the camel were fine for Bella to take part in too, so I’d say 4/5+ is a good age to play.
The look on there faces just says it all, this would be the perfect game for younger children this christmas. There is little assembly required; just 3 AA batteries and he is ready to go, big winner from us all!
P.S. How cute are those jumpers from Kenzo Kids, I love there play wear for the kids they are so trendy and great quality.
The next game we tested out was Name That; the game is for two or more players and is aimed at children aged 6+; the idea of the game is one card shows a letter the other says a category – first person to say a word in the category beginning with that letter wins. It was a little too old for my girls, they got a few but did find it quite tricky, we moved on to just words beginning with that letter which they found fun and its a great way to get them thinking about their letter’s. I am sure within a couple of years they will have lots of fun with this.
Games night was a great success the girls have asked to do it again so I will be picking them up some more games for christmas – do you have any suggestions?
