Maisy’s imagination is huge; from such a young age I would find her in her bedroom quietly playing with her toys creating new worlds and adventures, it’s amazing what they actually pick up. With age that imagination has only grown she’s always making up games and different scenarios for her and her sisters to explore. When we were asked to try out some of the toys from the Barbie Dreamtopia range I knew Maisy would be perfect for the job, not only does she have this wild and vivid imagination which ties in perfectly with Dreamtopia she is also a big Barbie fan.
For those who aren’t familiar with all things Barbie, Dreamtopia is the magical make believe world created by Barbies younger sister – Chelsea, with things like rainbow rivers, mermaids and cotton clouds it really does transport your little ones to another world.
The girls have all been enjoying playing with the Barbie Princess horse & carriage RRP £44.99 and the Barbie rainbow cove light up show princess RRP£19.99 both of which have been a huge hit especially the horse and carriage, they love taking Barbie off to a royal ball in it etc with there other dolls and toys joining in too. I was worried that one carriage between three feisty little ladies would cause murders but by encouraging them to set the whole scene and turn it into a real game actually helped them play together so nicely.
I think what the girls loved the most is how bright and colourful the Dreamtopia range are it instantly gets their creative minds going and thinking of magical lands. The products themselves are sturdy and easily assembled.
Along with the toys Barbie Dreamtopia is also available as an app combining tech and toys to encourage there imaginations that little bit further. The App is free to download but there are in app purchases that can be made to give even more. You can find it here.
A shaky photo that Bella sneakily snapped as me and Maisy created some cool new hair do’s on the app, she was ‘playing’ cameras on my phone and although it’s not great quality I like that it captured us enjoying it together. So often now tablets are seen as bad for kids or lazy parenting but we tend to enjoy playing on ours together.
My girls are now hooked on Barbie Dreamtopia, other items have gone straight in on there christmas lists so we will have to see what santa has up his sleeve this year!
Do your children also have wild imagination and love sending there toys off on adventure?
