Siblings – August

This is the first time I have joined in with the Siblings project, it is something I have watched and seen others do since I began my blog and now I wanted to set myself a challenge, I want to take beautiful photos of my girls all together each month.

Yes I do already take photos of them every single day but I want special photo’s – capturing a memory or a fun day. Nothing fancy, no big set up, just my girls being themselves.

Yesterday we went to pick your own, it was a last minute as we didn’t have much planned we’d been out for breakfast and being such a lovely day I wanted to get out in the sunshine for a little bit. These photo’s were taken on my phone with about 15% battery left, as I said I really didn’t plan this to be a photo session but it was so beautiful seeing them walk up and down the rows of flowers I couldn’t help but snap away.

Strawberry season is apparently almost over, so we spent our time raspberry hunting, seeing the girls work together to grab the juiciest raspberries was lovely, no arguments just laughing and squealing’s of “look at the size of this one!”

The summer holiday’s are always tough on siblings, we’re over half way through now and they’re getting to a point where they are craving the old routine again. Not that they would admit it of corse but I can see they are getting restless and it’s resulting in a few little squabbles here and there despite me keeping them as busy and entertained as humanly possible.

The end is in sight and we still have lots more fun things planned to tick off our A-Z of summer fun so I am sure we will make it through relatively unharmed.

Oh what a lovely day out – those gladioli make the most gorgeous backdrop and the girls look like they were having a blast! Welcome to the Siblings project – I promise it’s wonderfully addictive!
