I have mentioned on my blog more than once that my self and my children all suffer with insanely sensitive skin, it means I’m usually quite reluctant to switch up my skin care and try new products. When I was asked to review some of the products from TEN’s mother and baby range I was intrigued the claim to respect the skin’s natural balance leaving yours and your baby’s skin looking and feeling its best, lets face it we all want our skin looking at its best don’t we! So today I’m letting you know exactly what I thought of the range and TEN have been kind enough to also provide some products for one lucky reader to win!
TEN is an award winning new boutique range of skincare for mother and baby based on sound skincare science. Created for mums who are looking for simple an effective products and who want to know exactly what they’re putting on their baby’s skin as well as their own.
Made in Italy TEN skincare line uses the finest medical grade natural ingredients to soothe and care for both yours and your baby’s skin. Gently fragranced, TEN has been formulated by Italian skin experts.
So on with my review the products we’ve been testing out are the for the kiddy’s are the Baby cleansing foam and the Baby natural shampoo. Now I won’t lie I was so nervous to try this on the kids we had a bad reaction to a supposedly baby sensitive cleansing wash recently which brought them all out in a awful rash but I was so pleased with this its got a really lovely gentle camomile scent to it, its the sort of smell that I just imagine babies to smell like and makes me want to give them a big squeegee (just me?). After 2 weeks of using both of these products at bath time I can safely say none of them have reacted badly it leaves their skin and hair feeling beautiful clean and soft.
For myself I have been trying out the instant lifting cream, the Luminescence skin exfoliation, the Hydration body cream and stretch mark cream. Again all the products have a light scent to them I’m really bad at describing smells but it’s really fresh smelling and feels so nice to put on the skin. The Luminescence skin exfoliation has been especially lovely to use when I think exfoliator I’m expecting a harsh scrub so when I opened up a cream I was a little confused, but it left my skin feeling so soft and smooth – very impressed. Being a bit of a geek I wanted to know how it worked so after some research (reading the box) it appears the use natural occurring acids derived from plants and sugars which penetrate the skins primary layer to reach the second layer to cleanse away dead skin cells – well it seems to do the trick so I like it alot!
The face and body cream were equally lovely to use both very moisturising but they absorb incredibly quickly into the skin there is no greasy residue left at all just leaves a gorgeous silky feel to the skin my make up has been going on so smoothly over the top.
Overall I have been really impressed by these products Its been lovely to change up my skin care routine a little and find some other products that do agree with my skin, if I’m being picky my only negative would be the price, to me its more of an expensive range with alot of things I do think you get what you pay for and if you’re looking for good quality products then these will be great for you, particularly the kids range I find it so tough to get a decent product that won’t irritate their skin I am happy to pay £11 for those items again.
If you are interested in trying out some of the range for yourself to see first hand just how lovely it is TEN have kindly given me a lovely set to give away containing the Hydration body cream, Breast care cream and stretch mark cream, worth £60 – this would be a fab set from any new or expectant mum.
UK residents only.
The competition ends midnight on Friday 27th March one winner will be selected at random.
