Today I’m back with another health and fitness update, I love writing these posts and setting myself regular little goals I missed last week as we went on a little family holiday to Bluestone, Wales which was brilliant and so nice to just take a week off and really relax and spend quality time as a family, but now I’m back home and well aware I ate far too much crap and drank way to much wine last week!
Last time I talked about the Upbeat protein challenge which I loved taking part in but since taking part I’ve slipped big time so first goal for this week is to get back on that! Starting with a yummy salmon stir fry I did for dinner this evening!
I have also been taking part in the DW 40 day fitness challenge I will be honest and admit I’ve skipped a couple of days while we were away so I have a bit of catching up to do but I’ve been enjoying it so far. Basically DW fitness set a challenge each day with options for beginner, intermediate and expert, I’ve been going for the intermediate/expert levels so next week my goals are to:
- Catch up the couple of days I missed.
- Go for expert on them all – I’m either really unfit or it’s really flipping hard!
And one last challenge for me for this week is the kids have been asking to do some baking and I really want too but if we make cakes I will end up eating the lot once they’re in bed (and blame Ryan in the morning) I know I know I’m terrible but it always happens – So I have been looking for some recipes and found a great healthy version of a carrot cake so I have a shopping list of bits we need and will share the results with you next week. At least then if I do end up scoffing a little too much it will still be healthy!
