Spring Craft Idea For Toddlers

It’s April and although there is still a bit of a chill in the air outside, Spring is springing and I’ve been looking for lots of fun simple spring crafts for the girls and I to get up to.

Now when it comes to craft in our house it needs to meet certain criteria’s:

  1. Keep it simple – with the three girls and a baby to look after it needs to be something I can help with but they can do the majority of it themselves.
  2. Must contain glitter (kids choice not necessarily mine)
  3. Easy to clean up – once my little darlings have created there master pieces I’m left to clear it up so we try to leave the more messier things to school/at a friends on a play date.

So here’s what we got up too…

spring craft

These cute little butterflies on sticks are such an easy spring craft to set up, I found these foam butterfly shapes in pound land for (you guessed it) £1 with 12 in a pack there are plenty to keep the kids busy for ages and enough for me to have a go too! You could also easily cut out your own butterfly shapes or check out the art and craft supplies here!

spring craftAll I did was secure a lolly stick to the back with a little sellotape and then the kids were away creating different designs and patterns. Lots of glitter was used obvs the kids are obsessed with glitter, some goggly eyes, pipe cleaners, lots of glue and some foam shapes!

And these are the finished butterflies, just a really fun creative spring craft suitable for toddlers and you can just use the bits you probably have laying in your craft box already! Im still deciding where to put these I think they’d look really cute in a little plant pot in the window!

I love these! I think my toddler is a bit young to stick the eyes on but she could definitely do some decorating/colouring on the butterflies. Will head down to Poundland when I’m next in town 🙂 thank you! x
