Weekend box review

weekend box

Last week we were kindly sent a weekend box from The Weekend Box Club to review.

The idea behind the weekend box club is to send out a package fortnightly or monthly with all the bits parents will need to enjoy 4 fun activities with the little ones aimed at ages 3-6 years.

The weekend box

On first glance I thought the box looked great lots of detail on the inside and I love how the activities are all individually packaged and colour coded to match the separate instructions, it makes it easier to focus on one activity at a time. Also includes stickers for when each activity is completed.

Our four activities were:

  • Aztec mosaic coasters
  • Aztec pattern prints
  • Aztec parrots
  • Aztec hot chocolate

As you can tell we had the aztec themed box and I thought was a really nice touch throughout the box there a fun facts and tips so it a great way of teaching the kids whilst still having fun.

And the kids verdict on the weekend box? (they are the only opinion that matters here really!) They loved it being (almost) 3 & 4 years old there were are few bits I had to help with cutting ect. but on the whole they did the majority of the tasks themselves they were really involved and it kept them busy for a whole afternoon! That’s right they sat still for longer than 10 minutes – can you believe it!

They were very proud of their creations especially the parrots!

Aztec Parrots!

Yes one is missing an eye but they were proud all the same!

The weekend box sounds great fun. Aztecs isn’t something I would think to do as a craft.

What a great idea, sounds like you got some fantastic activities in your box. My eldest boy isn’t great at sitting still for activities but I think these could tempt him! xx
