Recently VTech got in touch and ask me and Lottie to join in with their new Tour de Trike campaign. We were gifted the new VTech 5-in-1 Stroll and Grow Trike and asked to put it to the test and create our own trike route in the local area! My route will be appearing with alongside a bunch of other bloggers routes from all over the country on the Vtech website very soon which is exciting!
I had been thinking about the route for a while, trying to decide where would be best I wanted a route not too long that would allow us to stop off for a picnic or a little play along the way.
We opted for Poole Park; with a nice walk around the boating lake and a lap around the cricket pitch which gave us a nice chance to stop and enjoy the gorgeous autumnal day, we had a lovely little walk/ride.
The VTech 5-in-1 stroll and grow trike does exactly what it says; it grows with your child from 9 months up until 6 years. Baby can be pushed along in the strolling mode using the adjustable parent handle. Trike training mode allows them to practise pedalling. Trike mode allows kids to learn to steer and pedal and finally drift mode which my girls have been having so much fun with allows them to slide and skid around.
Lottie is currently in the trike mode and she likes to be pushed around in drift. Bella has also been playing with the trike and she loves flying up and down drifting around the corners – she is a little nut case though.
I love the fact this trike really does grow with your child, I have found with previous trikes we have had they didn’t allow that extra element of fun when your child gets a little older. I also think the waterproof electronic activity panel is a great touch, it keeps the little ones busy. Lottie enjoys playing with it now but I can imagine at around that difficult 18 month stage when they wont sit still ever it would be a godsend.
Lottie is going really well on the trike. Her co-ordination is a bit off, she kind of forgets to steer as she’s pedalling which led to me pulling her out of a puddle a few times – but she will get the hang of it eventually!
The bucket on the back came in so hand when we needed to collect leaves! We stopped off in the park before making our way back. A lovely little day all round her smile says it all really.
