Cuddling up on the sofa with a few snacks and a film is one of our most favourite lazy day actives, the girls are at an age now where they will actually sit through a whole film which is really nice. The girls always seem to have us watching the same films over and over again – creatures of habit aren’t they – so when we were sent over a copy of the new Robinson Crusoe film I was delighted to have a change!
To celebrate the release of the new Robinson Crusoe film on DVD and Blu-Ray Studio Canal have challenged the girls and I have come up with some fruity snacks that we can enjoy whilst watching the film!
It needed to be kept quick and simple so I could knock them up as the girls got comfy – I opted for banana & oat balls and some delicious fruity smoothies.
For the smoothies I blitzed up banana, strawberries, blackberries, pain yogurt and a splash of orange and mango juice till I had a yummy thick smoothie consistency.
Banana balls are so easy, I make these a lot for the kids as they love them it’s just mashed banana and oats balled up and baked for about 15 minutes or until lightly browned. I have a full post on them here.
The kids were quick to tuck in to their snacks as they watched the Robinson Crusoe film, the loved watching Robinson on this adventures making new friends along the way. The fun filled family film was a real hit the giggled away and then went off and played there own adventure game – it involved them jumping all over my furniture but hey if they’re happy I will let it slide.
