Tregenna Castle – Day One

I mentioned in our A-Z of summer fun that we were starting the summer break off with a little holiday in Cornwall, we headed to Tregenna Castle situation in the stunning town of St.Ives to enjoy a couple of days just me and my girls!

The resort offers a choice of 70 self-catering cottages and 81 hotel rooms, set in the 72 acre estate. There is plenty of activities at Tregenna Castle to suit all ages such as golf, two swimming pools, kids entertainment at Castle Kids and you can even book in for some pampering at Castle Beauty.

Failing all that you can just sit back, eat some food in the restaurant, or enjoy a drink while you take in the beautiful views of St.Ives.

We were staying in a family room in the hotel which included breakfast each morning.

On arrival we were quickly checked in, the lift was unfortunately under maintenance with 3 children, a pushchair and several bags this isn’t good news. The staff were really helpful and got all our bits up to the room.

The room it self was lovely, really spacious and immaculately clean on arrival (soon changed once my girls arrived). You can see a full room tour in the vlog at the end of the post but I loved this bed I need one at home, look at the size of it despite the girls having their own little room and Lottie having two travel cots provided we all slept in here for the majority of it!

The kids bedroom was really cute though with bunk beds and a separate tv and sofa for them.

After a settling into our room for a little bit and a quick snoop of the grounds we headed down to the hotels restaurant for some dinner, it is advised to prebook as it can get quite busy but we got a table fine.

Being 25 degrees with sea views I really felt like I was abroad and opted for a little cocktail to get me in the holiday spirit! The menu isn’t massive but there is lots of variety and it’s not badly priced. I went for the chicken burger and the girls had fish and chips. Delicious!

After dinner we headed to the little park in the resort, it was a long old drive the girls needed to run off some steam.
