Garden makeovers

Summer has made it’s big arrival in the last couple of weeks and I for one am loving having the sun around, you wont catch me moaning about it being ‘too hot’.

We have also had the less welcome arrival of chicken pox.. yay! The girls seem to be over the worse of it but we are limited to where we can go so the next week the garden will be in good use.

It’s got me to thinking about what I would like to change about my garden or how my dream garden would look. Firstly it would be massive and flat – unlike my current garden which is on different levels and really not great for the kids. So the dream would be a long garden with a big grassy area for the girls to run about on, play games and have plenty of space their trampoline or a paddling pool and maybe eveen a little greenhouse.
I’d then have a decking section with a couple of sun beds, a table and chairs for dining outside and a ton of pot plants (that i’d somehow keep alive) dotted around the edges.

Since I was a little girl and my grandparents had one I have always wanted a proper garden swing at the end of my garden.

How perfect does this look, giving a little shelter for girls on hot days and perfect for cozying up with a glass of wine on long summer nights (me for the wine – not the kids).

Slowly but surely I am squirrelling away to buy our dream house one day but a little day dreaming right now doesn’t hurt does it!
