My little corner of the tinternet is 2 years old!! Saying that out loud is scary, I don’t feel like I can say I am a newbie blogger anymore despite often still feeling like one!
This time 2 years ago I had written and published my first post and I didn’t tell a single soul – Everything Mummy was created but it was just mine and I loved having it that way, barely any body read it. I just wrote what I wanted to write – admittedly pretty poorly but I have learnt along the journey and my godness what a crazy old journey it has been.
The past two years my life has changed dramatically theres been big ups and theres also been some downs but my blog has been my sanctuary my place to write freely and share the nice things. To say blogging has changed my life sounds a bit dramatic but well it really has, before blogging I was a stay at home mum going slowly brain dead with Tuesday playgroup being the highlight of my week. Some love this lifestyle and I do love being at home with my girls but after over three years of just that I needed something more. I looked at going back into ‘normal’ work nothing suited our needs as a family so we decided I’d continue to stay at home.
One afternoon nap time I was messing about online and somehow Everything Mummy was born – I hadn’t a clue what I was doing but I took a leap and tried something new and I have never looked back.
My blog has brought me so much it’s my hobby, it still excites me everyday. It’s brought me great friendships – people I would have never met if it wasn’t for blogging are now friends I speak to daily. Most importantly it’s given me back my confidence, it’s pushed my boundaries, made me try new things and really changed me.
The fact that people read it is just a bonus but I must say a big thank-you to each and every person who has read my blog and supported me I really appreciate every click and every comment my site gets to see others enjoy something I love so much is everything.
So with that Happy 2nd birthday Everything Mummy here’s to what the future may bring.
