When it comes to relaxation and unwinding I find a good soak in the bath is usually the best way to do it, I love nothing more than sitting back in the tub with some beautiful smelling candles lit all around me and a good book to read.
So when I was recently asked if i would like to try out some of the Olverum bath oil I jumped at the chance. Olverum (true oil) is a unique and luxurious aromatic blend of essential oils, you pop a few drops into the water and the carefully chosen extracts combine to help ease stress and relax tension in both mind and body. Just what I need after a busy day running around after my three.
A little bit of back ground in to Olverum, it was originally created in 1931 by Franz Otto Klein, a wine merchant in the Mosel Valley in Germany who developed a keen interest in the beneficial properties of natural essential oils.
The bath oil he eventually produced after two years of research and experimentation contains extracts from 10 aromatic plants, carefully selected for their individual therapeutic properties as well as their ability to work synergistically to be even more effective. These were blended according to a closely guarded formula that was passed from father to son for over 84 years and remains largely unchanged today.
Olverum Bath Oil is a highly concentrated and unique blend of 10 essential oils: Eucalyptus, Lavender, Juniper, Lavandin, Lemon Peel, Siberian Fir Needle, Exotic Verbena, Lime, Geranium and Rosemary. It is free from artificial colours and preservatives and is not tested on animals.
My thoughts on the product? When you add into the water you are instantly hit with the beautiful blend of fragrances, it is so relaxing and definitely made me enjoy my soak in the bath just that little bit more.
I also love that even though it is an oil it doesn’t leave you with an oily residue on your skin after that is one thing that has put me off certain bath oils in the past.
