3 delicious ice lolly recipes for children

3 simple ice lolly recipes for kidsMy girls do enjoy an ice lolly come rain or shine it doesn’t matter to them, we always have a stash in the freeze. Whilst I don’t mind the odd treat they are full of sugar so I made some healthy alternative ice lollies for them to try and see how they match up to the usual favourites. They went down a treat so I thought I would share these three super simple recipes I used to give you some inspiration for a nice cool refreshing ice lolly treat for the kids to enjoy this summer. 3 simple ice lolly recipes for kids

Fruit and coconut water

Thinly slice up some kiwi and strawberries pop them in to the moulds and fill with coconut water and freeze.

Strawberry and banana

Add some banana slices, strawberries and a little coconut water to a blender. Blitz until you have a smoothie like consistency add to the moulds and freeze.

Peaches and Yogurt

This was my personal favourite of them all! I used tinned peaches as they are always in the cupboard and I wanted to try something new with them, this turned out really well. I just added a whole peach slice to the mould and layered on top some natural yogurt and kept alternating till they were full – lid on and freeze!

I left them all to freeze over night, to easily get them out I just ran them under some warm water for a few seconds.

I am so pleased with how these ice lollies turned out. The girls loved them and they are so much healthier than the usual ones I pick up in the supermarket.
