The secret life of a hoarding 3 year old

You always hear of children with little habbits or obsessions; maybe a favourite teddy they take out with them, or a blanket they can’t sleep without maybe they won’t eat anything that’s green or they’re obsessed with wearing their pants on their head(each to there own).
My children have there’s little traits aswell Bella’s is she likes to play with her hair when she’s sleepy, Maisy’s is a little more odd she likes to create piles of her treasures, (could be mistaken for crap if your not Maisy) and god help you if you touch this pile of treasure/crap you will be in a serious amount of trouble.

It has become increasingly clear recently my eldest daughter has now gone from being a little collector into a full blown hoarder. She hoards all things pink and all things sparkly and on certain days just all things in general.

She gets in from nursery and dresses head to toe in pink this is her hoarding uniform – even if it’s her little sisters she will squeeze into it and finds hundreds of items (no exaggeration)to keep in her little heap.

As you can see anything and everything can be part of her hoard I found 3 potatoes in the pile once – Yes potatoes!

Do your little ones have any strange habits? Please tell me my hoarding child isn’t the only one!

Carson cannot and will not part with anything. Whenever I discreetly attempted to do so, he’s ask that very night “where has my piece of tesco receipt gone?” – I think that’s what’s more scary, he knows. HE KNOWS! lol x

Ha ha!!! Potatoes?! Lucy isn’t quite old enough yet… but her daddy is a MASSIVE hoarder so the probability is that she will be too!

OMG my 4yo does the same!! Drives me crazy because I hate clutter. She keeps everything – even rubbish. I go round binning things when she’s at school but somehow her bundle keeps growing. Please tell me it’s a phase?

I love this so much. The fact that she has a hoarding uniform is hilarious. Little Miss H likes to find a pair of my knickers or Mr H’s pants and wear them around her neck like a snood. She also likes to take her bowls out of the cupboard and line them neatly upside down. It is just one of her little idiosyncrasies. I hope that makes you feel a little better about your gorgeous hoarder. Thanks for linking up with #SundaysStars lovely lady. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

How funny! My niece “collects” things like leaves, pebbles, acorns…she’s got a whole forest under her bed!
